LocatAlert on an iPhone: a compass ring shows an 800 m radius around Grand Central, the alarm card reads Armed, and a large coral button says Tap to disarm.

Choose the place. Set the distance. Put the phone away.

The same five screens you will find on Google Play.

Alarms screen: a compass-style ring shows the 800 m radius around Grand Central with the distance still to go, and the alarm card shows Once, 800 m, Armed.
One alarm, armed.Your stop, the distance left, and one big button. Tap to disarm.
New location alarm screen over a map of JFK: the alarm is named JFK Terminal 4, the Wake me within picker has 100 m, 300 m, 500 m and 1 km with 500 m selected, and Repeat offers Once, Every day or Custom.

A real alarm, not a buzz.Rings with the sound you chose, even when the phone is locked.
Map screen of New York with four alarm zone pins and a banner reading 4 alarm zones, long-press to add.
Every alarm zone at a glance.Precise GPS only near a zone. Easy on battery.
People screen: a note says friends see only the tasks you choose to send, never your alarm list or live location, above a task from Sam Rivera to grab the concert tickets at Madison Square Garden with Not now and Accept task buttons.
Friends ask. You decide.Place-based tasks, never your live location.

Built around one job: ring at the place, not the time.

A clock alarm guesses when you will arrive. LocatAlert waits for the real journey to reach the zone you chose.

Arrival and departure alarms

Ring when you enter a zone, when you leave it, or both. Use it once, every day, or on the days you commute. Here is how to set a GPS location alarm and test it.

People, without tracking

Send a friend a place and a task. They choose whether to accept it. Nobody's continuous location is shared, in either direction.

Siri on iPhone

Hey Siri, wake me up at Central Station with LocatAlert. Arm a saved place or switch every alarm off by voice, and ask which alarms are armed without opening the app.

Battery-safe pacing

Far from your stop, the phone checks position rarely and cheaply. Precise GPS switches on only in the last stretch, then off again.

Start as a guest

One armed alarm is free, with no account. Pro keeps several alarms armed at once. Add an account and friends can send you places.

Your live location stays on your device.

Distance checks run on the phone, against the places and radii you saved. Your GPS stream is not uploaded to our servers, and background location is used only while an armed alarm is watching for arrival or departure.

Questions before you start

Will the location alarm ring when my phone is locked?

Yes. With location, notification and alarm permissions enabled, LocatAlert rings with sound while your phone is locked. On Android it opens a full-screen alarm over the lock screen. On iPhone with the app closed, it rings as repeated time-sensitive notifications with your alarm sound.

Can I choose how far before my stop the alarm rings?

Yes. Set a radius around the destination, from 50 m to 5 km, so the alarm triggers with enough time for your route and speed.

Is LocatAlert free?

One location alarm is free, and you can start as a guest without an account. LocatAlert Pro keeps several alarms armed at once. Regional pricing appears in the app.

Does a GPS alarm drain the battery?

Not the way LocatAlert does it. Far from your destination it checks position rarely and cheaply. Precise GPS switches on only in the last stretch before your stop, then switches back off.

Does it share my live location with friends?

No. LocatAlert can send a specific place-based task to a person you choose, and they decide whether to accept it. It does not expose a continuous live-location feed.

Take the nap. Keep the stop.

Your first location alarm takes under a minute.
